ESRC IAA grant success

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) operates an Impact Accelerator Account which for Sheffield, is managed jointly by Partnerships and Regional Engagement and the Faculty of Social Sciences. In the latest call, MDH have been successful in securing an allocation of funding for four projects for Health Sciences and ScHARR. The total award value is over just £62,000. 

Projects funded were: 

  • Increasing the life chances of the most vulnerable children and young people in looked after care, Judy Clegg and Sarah Spencer (Health Sciences School)
  • Designing a sexual rights charter for older adults in Sheffield as part of the age-friendly city initiative, Sharron Hinchliff  (Health Sciences School)
  • Implementing prioritised objectives from a Joint Policy Dialogue on infertility in The Gambia – using research evidence to inform policy and guide practice, Julie Balen
    (ScHARR)
  • Domestic Violence and Abuse Training Game: Creating digital editions, Parveen Ali  (Health Sciences School) in conjunction with Michaela Rogers in the Faculty of Social Sciences
