Sheffield Student awarded Best Poster Prize at British Society of Paediatric Radiology Conference

Congratulations to Heba Shalof (PhD Student) from the Department of Oncology & Metabolism for being awarded first prize at the British Society of Paediatric Radiology conference which was held virtually (5th – 6th November 2020).

Heba’s poster detailed her review and meta-analysis, which addressed the question “What skeleton imaging modality is best for assessing bone health in children and young adults?”

The purpose of the review, with meta-analysis, was to systematically research the literature to compare the various imaging methods and identify the best one for assessing and evaluating bone status compared to DXA in healthy and unhealthy populations (up to 18 years of age).

Heba is incredibly grateful for the support of her supervisors (Professor Amaka Offiah and Professor Paul Dimitri).
