Identification of cardiac MRI thresholds for risk stratification in pulmonary arterial hypertension
In a cohort of almost 500 patients Rob identified and tested cardiac-MRI thresholds to risk stratify patients at baseline and at follow-up. This is the first paper to utilise cMRI to define simple risk stratification strata in PAH.

Working with colleagues at IQVIA Ltd and supported by GSK developed a screening algorithm based on pre-diagnosis healthcare resource utilisation data (NHS Hospital Episode Statistics) to identify patients at high risk of developing Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension earlier.

Confirmation that rare heterozygous GDF2 mutations identified in the MRC/BHF funded UK IPAH cohort result in BMP9 loss-of-function and are likely causal in the pathobiology of PAH.
