Sheffield Global Health Symposium – 23rd January 2020

We are delighted to announce that Sheffield University is hosting its first ever Global Health Symposium on 23rd of January 2020. This is an internal-facing, interdisciplinary event aiming to bring together and showcase global health scholarship and practice from across the University. We take a broad and inclusive view of global health, to enable cross-sharing of work, wider networking and partnership building.

As such, the symposium has four themes running through it, namely: (i) NCDs, addiction and disability; (ii) infections, immunity and vaccines; (iii) sexual, reproductive and maternal health; and (iv) disaster, emergency and resilience, as well as a cross-cutting focus on capacity building, networking and partnership building in the GCRF era.

The one-day Symposium will be held in the Diamond building and you are all invited to attend, participate and present your work.

Please submit abstracts by 23.59 on Friday 29th November via email to

Please contact Sue Clary to obtain a copy of the abstract template. Abstracts that do not use the template provided will be automatically rejected. When submitting your abstract, use the official template (but do re-name it to avoid documents being overwritten in error).
