The 2017 National GP ACF Conference was hosted by the Academic Unit of Primary Care, University of Sheffield, at the Hilton Hotel on 16th-17th March.
Around 80 delegates attended with over 40 early-career GPs presenting their work from academic groups across the country. Expert-led workshops were held alongside talks from leading national speakers including:

Dr James Fenton (NIHR)
Professor Christian Mallen (Deputy Director of the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences, University of Keele)
Professor Una Macleod, Dean of Hull York Medical School
Professor Chris Burton, Professor of Primary Medical Care, University of Sheffield
Professor Wendy Baird and her team from the NIHR Research Development and Support Unit and Chris Rhymes (NIHR Collaborative Research Network) delivered workshops and gave individual advice throughout the event.
Many commented on the friendly and inspiring atmosphere and the conference generated a real buzz for primary care academic research. Further details can be found on the Sheffield GP ACF website.
