A recent report by Health Education England has identified The School of Nursing and Midwifery (University of Sheffield) as providing best practice in primary care education.
The department was mentioned three times in the recent publication The General Practice Nursing Workforce Development Plan.
An extract from a best practice case study:
“A group led by the University of Sheffield has developed an NMC-approved mentorship programme for nurses in primary care.
The 12-week programme employs a blend of online learning and face-to-face sessions to support nurses to meet NMC mentorship standards and to gain direct experience of mentorship in primary care.”
